Industries
Different businesses, the same three problems
Getting work in, running the work, and getting paid. Nearly every business I build for is stuck on one of those three, and the reason it feels unique is that the paperwork around it is different every time.
What actually changes by industry is which one hurts most, and what the documents are called. Find yours below.
Where I have shipped and can show you
Home & Trade Services
Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, landscaping, cleaning, remodeling, pest control, restoration and the trades around them.
Quotes live in the owner’s head, jobs live in a group chat, and invoices go out when somebody remembers. Nothing is broken exactly — it just all depends on one person being available.
I run Haslett Handyman on software I wrote: $216K invoiced, 3,235 transactions auto-categorised, and about 140 hours of admin taken out of my week.
What I build for home & trade services →Health, Wellness & Beauty
Med spas, wellness centres, dental and chiropractic practices, physical therapy, salons, gyms and telehealth providers.
The phone is the booking system. No-shows are absorbed rather than prevented, intake happens on paper at the front desk, and nobody can say which client is due back.
I audited 456 Michigan wellness websites — a third could not be tapped to call from a phone. I have also designed and built a HIPAA multi-tenant clinical platform end to end, with tenant isolation enforced in the database.
What I build for health, wellness & beauty →Where the work is document-heavy
These businesses all share one shape: a queue of documents or enquiries that a person currently reads one at a time.
Financial & Insurance Services
Insurance agencies, bookkeeping and accounting firms, tax practices, mortgage brokers, title companies, medical billing and lenders.
Somewhere in your office a person opens each policy, receipt, claim or application, reads it, and types the same six fields into a system. All day.
LLM Integration Sprint · from $7,500
Real Estate & Property
Property management companies, brokerages, HOAs, appraisers, home inspectors and development.
Maintenance requests arrive by text, leases live in a shared drive nobody has indexed, and owner reports get rebuilt by hand every month.
LLM Integration Sprint · from $7,500
Staffing & Workforce
Staffing agencies, recruiters, PEOs, training providers and employment services.
Every open role means a human skimming a stack of CVs, and the good candidate is the one nobody got to in time.
LLM Integration Sprint · from $7,500
Logistics & Field Operations
Freight brokers, trucking, couriers, moving companies, waste, equipment rental and fleet operations.
Bills of lading and carrier invoices get keyed twice, exceptions are handled by whoever happens to see the email, and nobody can say what a lane actually earned.
LLM Integration Sprint · from $7,500
Technology & AI Products
Software companies, SaaS products, AI startups and technical agencies.
You shipped an AI feature and have no way to answer "is it right?" beyond spot-checking it. Nobody wants to be the one who finds out from a customer.
AI Reliability Audit · $2,500
And the ones without a page yet
I build for these too. They do not have their own page because I would rather not write one that implies experience I have not had — the three problems are the same, so the conversation is worth having anyway.
Not sure which one you are?
Run the free website audit. It takes about a minute, works for any kind of business, and tells you what a customer on a phone actually experiences — which is usually where the conversation should start.
